세계커뮤니티댄스협회는 춤과 몸 기반 예술을 통해 사람과 사람, 예술과 사회, 지역과 세계를 연결하는 국제 문화예술 공동체를 지향한다.

우리는 커뮤니티댄스를 단순한 춤의 장르가 아닌, 몸의 감각을 회복하고 관계를 연결하며 공동체의 삶을 치유하는 예술적 실천으로 바라본다.

다양한 춤과 몸의 언어를 기반으로 예술가와 시민, 세대와 문화, 국가와 지역이 함께 움직이고 소통하는 창조적 플랫폼을 구축해 나간다.

또한 철학·인문학·음악·문학·미술·연극·영화·미디어·AI 등 다양한 분야와의 융복합을 통해 새로운 예술 콘텐츠와 문화적 흐름을 창조하며, 동시대의 삶과 사회를 연결하는 예술의 가능성을 확장하고자 한다.

예술에 내재된 치유와 화해, 공존과 똘레랑스(관용)의 힘을 바탕으로 갈등과 분리를 넘어선 공동체적 감각을 회복하고, 문화예술의 공익적 가치와 사회적 역할을 국내외적으로 실현해 나간다.

The World Community Dance Association (WCDA) aspires to be a global cultural arts community that connects people, arts, society, and the world through the power of dance and body-based arts.

For us, community dance is not merely a genre of performance; it is an artistic practice that awakens bodily senses, restores relationships, and heals community life.

By embracing diverse movements and bodily languages, WCDA serves as a creative platform where artists and citizens, generations and cultures, nations and regions move and communicate together.

Furthermore, we cross boundaries by integrating dance with philosophy, humanities, music, literature, visual arts, theater, cinema, media, and AI. Through this interdisciplinary approach, we create new artistic content and cultural movements, expanding the potential of art to deeply engage with contemporary life and society.

Grounded in the transformative power of healing, reconciliation, coexistence, and tolerance inherent in art, we strive to overcome conflict and separation to restore a shared sense of community. In doing so, we are dedicated to realizing the public value and social responsibility of culture and arts both at home and abroad.
